Although the reality show “American Idol” has become famous more for the vocal talents of plucked-from-obscurity stars like Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken, dance may well become a stronger element of the program if enough future Idols get a hold of this entertaining dance game. Based on the popular arcade dance contests, the set features a mat that is laid out on the floor that lights up in rhythm to the music, designating various places for the player to step. It can be played by one or two players who choose between dancing games and video games (video pinball or Breakout) that can be played on a variety of skill levels. Five different songs are available to dance to, each with a unique video display featured on the included monitor. Four AA batteries are required but not included.
